I specialize in the translation and revision of medical reports in all therapeutic areas, with particular expertise in cardiology. As I only take on small projects (around 5k words maximum), I am rarely booked up more than one or two days in advance, and I often have immediate availability for smaller tasks. No task is too small!

My in-depth knowledge of medicine and extensive experience in research techniques means that you can be confident that the project will be delivered on time without you being bombarded with unnecessary queries, and that there will be less need for extensive, time-consuming revision.

Trados is my CAT tool of choice, but I am happy to work with in-house software, and to take on tasks such as hard-to-read handwritten or scanned documents.

Although my native language is British English, I am comfortable with both US and UK spelling and medical terminology.

With five years’ experience as a professional translator, I hold an MA in Translation from the UK Open University. I am also a UK-qualified podiatrist (BSc, University College London), with 10 years’ clinical experience in a variety of therapeutic areas, including foot and ankle disorders, orthopaedics, diabetes, wound management, dermatology, vascular disease, neurology, surgical techniques, and diagnostic imaging.

I ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy by specializing in a single language pair, and translating exclusively into English. My areas of expertise are those in which I have clinical experience and/or academic training, and I am committed to continuing professional development in both the translation and medical fields.
